MOT Finnish-English is an extensive Finnish-English-Finnish general dictionary. In addition to a general language vocabulary, it contains glossaries from specialist subjects and plenty of examples of use. The differences between British and American English have been taken into account. Phonetic notation is used to demonstrate how to pronounce words in English. The dictionary contains about 115,000 Finnish and about 110,000 English entries. In 2005, Gummerus published the Suuri englanti-suomi-sanakirja dictionary based on the same material.

License of Internet-service is valid for 1 year. User can use dictionary service through a web browser without having to install any software on his computer. URL address, user ID and password will be send to customer by email.

Technical requirements: MOT requires a fairly up-to-date web browser with JavaScript enabled. The following browsers are recommended: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, Firefox version 3.0 or later, Apple Safari version 4.0 or later. MOT is also likely to function in other new browsers such as Opera and Google Chrome.
