One of the specific features of the dictionary is that it is, to a certain extent, post-Soviet realities oriented.

It covers not only diplomatic terminology, but the terms used in international relations and law, foreign affairs, political and strategic science, security, war and peace matters, economics, trade, environmental studies, history etc - all related to the cover title.

It includes two appendices.
The first appendix (about 100 pages, contains encyclopaedic material about different diplomacies, diplomatic etiquette, ceremonial and protocol and variety of policies as well as about major doctrines and international events), whereas the second one deals with the main abbreviations used in the dictionary).
