For each musical work, the following information is given: its opening bars, its opus number, its dedication, and the description of all its extant manuscript and printed sources clarifying the history of the work’s creation. Further, the data pertaining to the work’s first performance (with the names of performers), to its first publication and other publications that appeared in the composer’s lifetime, and to early press comments are provided, with a relevant bibliography.
